Consultations
Face-to-face consultations and tasting are only available for weddings and is held once a month the duration of each consultation is 30 minutes. Prior to deposit payment sample boxes are available at a charge, following deposit payment, there is no charge.
Deposits
Quotes are valid for 7 days from date of issue. To confirm your booking we require a 50% deposit. If a booking is made within 2 weeks of the event date, full upfront payment is required. Payment secures your date in our books as we are at times fully booked and lack of deposit can lead to your place being given to another client. Work will only commence on your order once deposit has been made based on the agreed quote and all designs approved by the client. By paying your deposit, you agree to adhere to the following Terms and Conditions.

Confirmation of Orders
Upon receipt of your order you will be emailed a copy of your invoice. Please ensure all contact details, personal information, spelling of names, delivery/collection dates and times and any requested changes have been properly documented on your invoice.
Balance Due

Balance of payment is due via bank deposit or Paypal no later than two weeks prior to the delivery date. A reminder will be sent if the balance is not received at this time. Failure to pay following the reminder may result in the order being cancelled.
Cancellations
If an order is cancelled two weeks prior to completion, the deposit will be forfeited. If the order is cancelled five days prior to date of completion 100% of the cost of the order will be forfeited.
Refunds
Once delivery is accepted or cake/s collected, no refunds will be issued.
Changes
Any changes made to your order may incur a surcharge depending on the change requested. No changes can be made 14 days prior to completion date.

Delivery
Our cakes and cupcakes are made and packaged in a safe way so that they are stable when travelling. Clients wishing to pick up their products are responsible for the safe delivery of their product and The Vanilla Rabbit does not accept responsibility for any accidents that occur once the cake has been collected. When delivering, The Vanilla Rabbit is not responsible for any damage to the cake after setup is complete. Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 23Ëš degrees or below.

Pick Up
​
All cakes will be available for pick up Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 3pm - 5pm from 1/51 Township Drive, West Burleigh. Pick up closes promptly at 5pm.
Failure to pick up your cake will result in loss of payment.
Artistic Differences
​
It is important to remember that we are dealing with food and art and no two products are truly ever the same. At The Vanilla Rabbit we will endeavour to deliver a product that is as close to your requests and colour requirements as possible however it is important to keep in mind that no two cakes are ever the same and colours are subjective and may vary slightly. If you require an exact colour match you will need to provide a colour sample.
Cake Storage
Buttercream covered cakes, naked cakes and cupcakes should be refrigerated in the box in which they were delivered, and removed from the fridge and brought to room temperature prior to serving. Fondant covered cakes should not be refrigerated, but stored in a cool, preferably air-conditioned room, out of sunlight. Once cut, cakes should be stored in an airtight container or plastic wrap in the refrigerator. Sliced cake and cupcakes can also be stored in an airtight container and frozen for up to 3 months.
Allergens
Please discuss with us if any of your guests have special dietary requirements. Cakes can be made free of allergens such as gluten, wheat, dairy, eggs nuts etc. Please be aware that although these ingredients can be removed from the cakes, products are made in a kitchen where allergens are used and as such we cannot guarantee that any of our cakes are completely free of all traces for people who are highly sensitive. The Vanilla Rabbit cannot be held liable for any allergic reactions.

Online Shop
Products used on this cake may vary at times due to product availability.
No changes can be made to any of these cakes, cookies or cupcakes and once the order has been verified and confirmed with the client there will be no returns or refunds.
Fresh Flowers
If fresh flowers are provided by an outside source, they are required to be wired and taped by the florist. If the cake is being dressed at the venue the flowers are required to be at the venue at time of delivery. If the flowers are not at the venue at this time The Vanilla Rabbit will not be responsibility for the arrangement of the flowers on the cake. Please be advised that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants, The Vanilla Rabbit cannot be held liable for any reactions caused.
Flowers may vary as they are seasonal.

Photographs
All cakes are photographed prior to, or upon delivery. The Vanilla Rabbit reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.
Disclaimer
Acceptance of this agreement is contingent upon the ability of The Vanilla Rabbit to complete the agreement and is subject to accidents, Acts of God, and other causes beyond our control. In the rare instance whereby The Vanilla Rabbit is unable to fulfil the order, all efforts will be made to find a suitably qualified decorator. Should another decorator not be available, a full refund of any payments made will be issued.
